What Is a 4-40 License?
The Customer Representative (4-40) license is designed for in-office customer service reps who:
- Discuss insurance coverages with clients
- Solicit insurance from within the agency
Important: 4-40 license holders must work under the authority of a licensed 2-20 agent. They are not permitted to sell insurance outside the office.
Alternative Option: 20-44 or 2-20 License
